**The Political Shirt**
This shirt represents the political spectrum. The tied dyed part of this shirt represents the left side of the political spectrum and the white represents the more conservative side, also known as the republican side. All the issues that are labeled on the tie dyed shirt are liberal issues and the issues on the white shirt are conservative.
**How a Bill becomes a Law**
The stool my partner and I created basically represents the process in which it takes for a bill to become a law. The stool has three legs and each leg is necessary in order for the law to stay standing. Every leg has a label. The first leg has the label of “the house of representatives” the bill has to get passed through this leg first. Secondly the bill has to pass through the senate and this would be the second leg. The third leg of my stool is labeled “sign by the president” that is the final step in order for a bill to become a law.
**8 Hot Topics**
The U.S.A is one of the most powerful and developed countries of the world, and it also has a hight education level but as any other country has its issues and the goverment has to deal with them, and i will present some of the most important ones which are: Abortion, The Death Penality, Gun Control, Separation of Religion, Gay marriage, Taxes, Drug Laws and Immigration.
ABORTION: Abortion is the deliberate killing of the weakest and most defenseless among us. Unfortunately, for the last few decades, the practice has been recognized as a fundamental human right by the highest court of the land. Many people are fervent supporters of abortion. Their reasons for support are varied. However, I believe that support for abortion is not possible for those who understand our dignity as human persons under God. We were made by God, and it is from Him that we derive our worth.
THE DEATH PENALLITY: The Death Penalty is a panoply of splintered human rights, challenging the undisputed knowledge of the human population. Our modernized version of Habeas Corpus’s “eye for an eye” argues that death is a necessary retribution for murderous cases-but is it effective morally. Revenge only glorifies violence, which is most definitely not the message the world strives to display. The Death Penalty is a negative form of punishment and insinuates a harsh reflection of society economically, politically, and socially.
GUN CONTROL: The Issue of Gun Control Legislation One of the most controversial issues in our society is gun control legislation. Violence associated with guns is increasing every year and something must be done to stop it. Gun legislation varies in every state. In some states gun policy is stricter than in other states. Gun legislation should be abolished in favor of federal gun legislation. To analyze the problem with gun violence today you must understand the gun laws that are in effect. The gun legislation in the United States are mostly based on a state level.
SEPARATION OF RELIGION: Separation of Church and State is Necessary for Freedom of Choice We in America have the right to be free, so why not listen to the words of Thomas Jefferson and build a “wall of separation between church and state?” The wall of separation was Jefferson’s interpretation of the first amendment; however, the idea was actually founder of Rhode Island Roger Williams’. Jefferson’s belief was that religion was a personal relationship strictly between a man and his God and the government should not be allowed to restrict anyone from practicing their religion.
GAY MARRIAGE: Gay Marriage Should gay marriages be Illegal. Clearly we as a nation are undecided on this issue. 36 states have passed legislation banning gay marriages, yet the state of Vermont passed a law that allows homosexual couples the right to participate in civil unions. Some other states are also debating whether or not to allow these couples to marry. Unfortunately, the dispute has left the United States homosexual community in an awkward position. There are some people like me who think that gay people have no rights and should never be allowed to marry.
TAXES: Taxes are needed in order to securely administer and fund different governmental organizations, as well as construction and other universal infrastructure services. Many proponents of taxes suggest that taxation is way too extreme within the present day economic trends that exist within America. Taxes do fund many programs and construction of certain projects within America, but also effect certain aspects of America's economy. Taxes do present positive as well as negative characteristics within an economic system. Increased taxes do have a direct effect toward consumers, businesses, and the overall economy. Consumers are exposed to extreme effects of taxes, and may even be effected more than any other group within the economy. Increasing prices on their products due to the increased taxes makes up most of the potential profits for businesses. The consumers therefore lose out because of the increased prices, and must decide on another budgetary analysis. For example, a consumer who is introduced to new taxes may decide to stop purchasing a certain product. A consumer may choose to not purchase a good that my normally go along with another good. This good is a complimentary good and may not be bought because of increased taxes.
DRUG LAWS: For the more serious offences of supplying, possessing with intent to supply or illegally bringing drugs into the country, the person would usually face a trial before a judge and jury at a higher criminal court or Crown Court.
IMMIGRATION: people choose to come to the United States by the lack of Opportunities will our countries for example, have a good education, good jobs and security. U.S has many opportunities for advancement
In conclusion I can say that I'm in between because Im agree with some topics but im also in disagree with other, for example: Im agree with the death penality, taxes, Drug law ,gun control and imigracion. and im in desagree with: Separation of Religion, Gay marriage and abortion. This 8 topics are really important because are the most controversial issues in the country.
